What Is a Jagran Party?
A Jagran party is a group of singers and musicians who lead a devotional vigil, usually for the Goddess. The word jagran means staying awake, and the programme traditionally continues through the night with bhents, bhajans, jhanki and aarti. In everyday Delhi NCR usage, people also call the group a Jagran mandali, Mata ki Chowki party, Bhajan mandali or Kirtan mandli. A good Jagran party does more than sing: it prepares the darbar, manages the sound, plans the sequence of the evening and works with the host family so that the programme runs smoothly.

What Does a Jagran Party Cost?
Many visitors ask for the Jagran party price or Mata Ki Chowki booking cost. We do not publish fixed rates because the cost depends on the programme you choose. The main factors are the number of singers and musicians, the length of the programme, darbar and decoration, jhanki artists, the size of the sound system, the date (Navratri and weekends are busier), the venue and the distance. When you call, we ask a few questions, explain the options and give a clear quote. If you have a fixed budget, tell us, and we will suggest the best programme within it.

Jagran Party Near Me: How We Reach You
People often type “Jagran party near me” because they want a team that can reach them on time. Our team travels to your venue, so “near me” means wherever your event is in Delhi NCR. We plan travel carefully, arrive early to set up the darbar and sound, and keep you informed. For outstation events, we discuss travel and stay in advance.
Frequently Combined Programmes
Many families combine programmes to suit their wishes. A short Sunderkand Path followed by a Mata Ki Chowki is a popular combination for a new home. A Bhajan Sandhya may include Krishna, Ram and Shiv bhajans and end with a Mata aarti. A wedding often begins with a Jagran or Chowki the previous evening. Tell us what you have in mind, and we will design the order so that the programme feels natural.

The Devotional Calendar: When Do Families Book?
Devotional events follow the rhythm of the year. Chaitra Navratri in spring and Sharad Navratri in autumn are the busiest periods for Mata ki Chowki and Mata ka Jagran, with Ashtami and Navami as peak days. Mahashivratri brings requests for Shiv bhajans, Janmashtami for Krishna kirtan, Ram Navami and Hanuman Jayanti for Sunderkand Path, and Ganesh Chaturthi for Ganesh vandana and bhajans. Ekadashi and Thursdays are popular for Shyam and Sai programmes. Beyond the festival calendar, the wedding season and personal occasions such as birthdays and housewarmings keep our team busy throughout the year. If your date falls in a busy period, book early, because we cannot accept more bookings than the team can serve well.
Our Team: Singers, Orchestra, Jhanki and Sound
Behind every programme is a team with defined roles. Bablu Ji leads as the main singer. Chorus artists support him and help the audience to join. Orchestra professionals play harmonium, dholak, tabla, keyboard and percussion. Jhankiya artists present devotional tableaux in traditional costume. Sound and stage technicians set up and operate the sound system and lighting. Coordinators speak with the host and manage the schedule. You can book the entire team or choose only the elements you need. Read more about us on the About Us page.
Frequently Asked Questions About Jagran Booking
Can a Jagran be held in an apartment?
Yes. Many Jagrans and Chowkis are organised in apartments. We use a compact team and a suitable sound level, and we advise on timing and neighbours.
Do we need permission?
It depends on the venue. Societies and RWAs usually have rules, and public spaces may need permission from the local authority. We recommend checking in advance, and we adjust the programme to what is permitted.
Can we choose the bhajans?
Yes. Share your family's favourites and traditions, and the singers will prepare them.
Do you bring the pandit and prasad?
The host usually arranges the pandit, puja items, prasad and food. We guide you about timings and quantities.
If you have a question that is not answered here, please call or send a WhatsApp message. We would rather answer a question before the booking than leave any doubt for the day of the event, because a calm host makes for a peaceful, devotional evening for everyone who attends.
Tips for Planning a Successful Jagran
- Fix the date early. Navratri and wedding-season dates are booked first.
- Check permissions. Ask your RWA or society about sound timing and venue booking.
- Choose the programme length. A Chowki suits an evening; a Jagran suits a long night.
- Plan the darbar. Match the decoration to the space; a smaller darbar looks better in a smaller room.
- Arrange the essentials. Pandit, puja items, prasad, food, seating and power.
- Tell guests the aarti time. This ensures everyone is present for the main prayer.
- Inform neighbours. Invite them to join; it builds goodwill.
